AECIR - Spanish Association of the International Raceboard Class

The year of Patrik Pollak

Published: February 24, 2023

The Raceboard class has had a good year, starting with some early Europeans in Portugal, then some memorable World Championships in Hungary and now finishing with the Masters in Campione del Garda, Italy.

It will be a memorable year for many, but the one that ends on a high note is Patrik Pollak. Patrik won both the World Championship and the World Masters Championship this year, proving that he is one of the best on a raceboard.

We caught up with the champion as he drove to Brest, where he is changing roles to become an iQFOiL coach, and here's what he had to say.

I am very happy to have won the race and, despite being Garda, I have to say that each race had its own story. Every race was different. We made the most of the conditions and whenever we could we raced, and I'm very happy about that.

The top three overall were also the top three masters, with CZE 110 Radim Kamensky in second place and the only competitor to snatch victory from Patrik ARG 355 Fernando Consorte in third place.

We will now have a longer break from international competition but we will be back in a big way with the World Championships, which will take place next year in Germany.

Photos and results of the World Masters are available on the event website. https://masters2022.raceboard.org.
